What Lekiu Distributors is doing to combat the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) at its workplace

With the ongoing spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) around the world, we are continuing to monitor the situation carefully throughout our warehouses and offices (workplace) to ensure that we are doing everything we can to minimize risk, provide a safe and healthy environment for our employees and ensure continuity of supply to our customers.
The health, safety and well-being of our employees and visitors to our workplace is of highest importance. As the situation continues to evolve, our procedures to keep them safe evolves as well. The following additional restrictions are being applied to protect them in our workplace:
All visitors to our workplace including customers, contractors and delivery drivers including freight company drivers will be screened prior to entry into our buildings. Entry only up to the foyer/reception areas will not require screening.
Visitors will be asked the following questions and not permitted entry if any are answered in the affirmative:
- Have you travelled overseas at any time in the last 14 days?
- Do you have any flu like symptoms, i.e. a fever, sore throat, headache, runny nose etc.?
- Do you know that you have you been in contact with someone who is suspected or confirmed as having COVID-19?
Visiting delivery drivers including freight company drivers will now have limited interaction with our employees and will be restricted from entering our office areas. Access to toilets will also be restricted.
Good hygiene practices such as handwashing must be observed when emergency access is permitted.
Signage will be on display on the goods receiving area as well as verbal communication of the change to the drivers.
We will continue to stay abreast of the situation and communicate any changes to you should they occur.
